Feather Fall 03:16
Feather Fall Angela Blacklaw, 2013 Too awake to sleep I taste the dream Of dancing on air In scattered clouds In a slow sky With a secret sun And it’s easy come And easier go Do you know How to watch a Feather fall RPTx4 Now let’s play Come, slip away We could share stories Or we could make them In a moment You and I Breathe through my heart We can start To watch a Feather fall RPTx4 And the grass is dreaming, dreaming And at last the feel of your skin And your flesh and your bone, I know I know what it is to fall You can call it nothing, nothing But it’s more than so many somethings And you got, ooh and you got What it takes to make a Feather fall RPTx4

Please Don’t Bring Me Roses Angela Blacklaw, 2013 Please don’t bring me roses, just Take off my clothes and Lay me down Lay me down Anything but roses Take the ring I chose Stay with me now Stay with me now I’m leaving all the promises I made Leaving is the saddest game I’ve played Oh it should be easy but now I know Loving is the hardest part of letting go Always pretty roses What d’you suppose, am I Happy now? Happy now? I’m leaving all the promises I made And leaving is the saddest game I’ve played Leaving should be easy but now I know Loving is the hardest part of letting go Please don’t bring me roses, just Take off my clothes and Lay me down Lay me down Lay me down

If I Could Feel Angela Blacklaw, 2013 I can’t wait any longer, longer, no I Can’t wait any longer, longer and I Won’t deal with it later, later and I Have to be this, I have to be this way Can’t wait any longer, longer, no I Won’t deal with it later, later and my Heart’s made out of paper, paper and it Is what it is and I… and I… If I could feel Then I could deal with this heart Make the beats restart And let it heal, let it heal If I could feel Then I’d be shielding the spark Tear the demons apart And dream, for real If I could feel Still getting deeper, deeper and it’s Still getting deeper, deeper and it Doesn’t really matter, matter and I Have to be this, I have to be this way Still getting deeper, deeper and it Doesn’t really matter, matter but it’s Just coming closer, closer and it Is what it is and I… and I… Chorus

No Room For Love Angela Blacklaw, 2014 Love’s a pretty story A song I learned in a hurry A dream in the dark and I’m sorry I believed it was for me Truth is hard as daylight Shines a blinding white But black as the darkest night So it’s right that you should leave No room for love No room for love Redemption’s just a word A big idea I heard about Something I can live without It’s already over and done Sleep is taken away now Leaving me alive as a grave now Waiting for the morning grey now When you will be gone No room for love No room for love I can live with my own lies With a secret as quiet as thunder but You don’t belong in the underworld So I’m sending you back to the sun above No room, no room for love No room, no room for love

Watch the World Burn Angela Blacklaw, 2013 V1 A man like you What doesn’t kill you makes you beautiful Those dirty eyes can only see the truth A man like you V2 Look at me You got me right where you want me to be I took your time, you took what made me free So look at me Chorus Watch the world burn No turning back Watch the world burn Turn to ash V2 So here we go Two of a kind, too close to take it slow I should have ripped my heart back long ago So here we go Chorus Watch the world burn No turning back Watch the world burn And crash M8 Did you ever wonder how it could be If you could love me so naturally Or is your hunger for the firing line And a danger sign? Chorus Watch the world burn No turning back Watch the world burn Turn to ash Watch the world burn No turning back Watch the world burn And crash Watch the world burn

Secrets and Lies Angela Blacklaw, 2013 V1 This body fits to mine Do I only give it time? Or give it all my little life? And who I can be? V2 I find my way there Then lose myself in the scent of your hair Is it the beast in you I fear? Or the animal in me? Chorus Secrets and lies Beautiful disguise Secrets and lies In your eyes V3 I read between the lies I hear the silence in your eyes Days keep turning into nights In the dark of the sun V4 These games that we play We lose cos the rules always change Will you smile and turn away? Or will I choose to run alone? Chorus Breakdown Chorus

Don’t Let Me Dream Alone Angela Blacklaw, 2013 Verse 1 Windows made of water You melted into rain Every crystal moment Sweet poison in my veins If I can’t sleep does it mean You’re dreaming of me? Am I awake there? Am I free? Chorus Come, love, Don’t let me dream alone Wake me and take me home Don’t let me dream alone Verse 2 It takes a touch of tiger in the blood It takes the truth as well To make the big adventure To break the waking spell When I don’t breathe does it mean You’re breathing for me? Are you awake there? Are you free? Chorus Come, love, Don’t let me dream alone Wake me and take me home Don’t let me dream alone M8 Love, why so serious? Why a heart so dark? You know it isn’t really over Until I make it start Chorus x2 Come, love, Don’t let me dream alone Wake me and take me home Don’t let me dream alone Don’t let me dream alone Don’t let me dream alone

Siren Song 03:19
Siren Song Angela Blacklaw, 2012 A Dream in colours Eyes still asleep Your face pleases The empty space that passes for my heart Without you nights are long Hear my siren song Hear my siren song A Voices, traces Down from the mountain places Feel me I am the rock that tears you from the sea The shore you thought you’d rest upon Hear my siren song Hear my siren song B Don’t think a secret word will set you free The life in your bones belongs to me A Don’t forget me Dream that you loved me when you met me That I was beautiful because you never knew I’m dangerous and wrong Hear my siren song Hear my siren song B Don’t think a secret word will set you free The life in your bones belongs to me A Sleep together Back to the sea and sleep Forever I was beautiful because you never knew I’m dangerous and wrong Hear my siren song Hear my siren song Outro Hear my siren song (RPT)

The Last Kiss Angela Blacklaw, 2012 Verse 1 Scissors are snapping, I’m cutting your photographs Curving your silhouette, showing the holes that you Made in my life When you left me Don’t want to remember your face, my rage uncontained If you can’t be with me I insist that you Cease to exist Cos you left me Chorus This will be the last kiss we ever share And all the doves will cry for me in the shivering air, in the shivering air Verse 2 How can you walk the same earth and breath the same air And smile in the sun and live in this life And not love me? And not miss me? I will gather the snippets of you and make savage confetti To throw at your wedding to blind her eyes And to land in your mouth So you have to kiss me Chorus This will be the last kiss we ever share And all the doves will cry for me in the shivering air, in the shivering air M8 One kiss to remind you What you lost A kiss of salt water To increase your thirst Chorus This will be the last kiss we ever share And all the doves will cry for me in the shivering air, in the shivering air In the shivering air, in the shivering air

about

“The Scale of Love and Destruction” is a collection of nine songs, which extend across a wide emotional axis, ranging from the breathless seduction of “Feather Fall” through the emotional ambiguity of “If I Could Feel”, all the way to the dramatic, destructive bitterness of “The Last Kiss”. Sweet, edgy and addictive – all in all, very hard to resist…

Angela's productions are reminiscent of Bjork, Portishead and Massive Attack with a sprinkle of Imogen Heap and she loves to work with other producers too, to keep the sounds fresh. She crafts a chilled lounge vibe and floating vocals, undercut by effects and dark, intriguing lyrics. These songs are perfect for enhancing TV and film productions, having a sense of drama and a laid back vibe so they enhance the on screen action rather than compete with it.
